Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and The Narrative Company, LLC, doing business as Pressrun (“Pressrun,” “we,” “us”), and govern your access to and use of Pressrun. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Pressrun for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.

Pressrun provides book-development and related services, which may include onboarding, interviews, writing, editing, project communication, production, and access to digital tools. Specific deliverables, schedules, approvals, and fees may be described in a separate order, proposal, or project agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the project-specific agreement controls for that project.

Pro monthly and Max monthly renew automatically every month, at the price shown at checkout, on the same day of the month (or the last day of shorter months), until you cancel. Each paid month adds the plan's credits; credits never expire and stay on the book after you cancel. Finishing and printing the book is sold separately as Finish & print, available once the book has at least 9,000 words of the storyteller's stories, as we count them in the book's conversations and written chapters (about 33 pages of stories, or about 55 pages once printed), or sooner by our agreement if the storyteller can't continue. You can cancel online at any time in Plan & credits, or by emailing support@pressrun.ai; cancelling stops the next charge, and the plan stays on until the end of the month you've paid for. A book on a monthly plan stays on monthly plans: you can cancel, pause or start again later, but one-time packages aren't offered for it afterwards. You can pause billing for 1 to 3 months. Refunds: your first monthly payment in full if you cancel within 14 days and no more than one paid conversation has happened; a renewal charged after 30 days without a conversation, if you ask within 7 days; otherwise no partial refunds. For illness or bereavement, we refund unused credits from your latest monthly payment. We won't raise your price without your agreement. Monthly plans are not sold as gifts.

You must provide accurate information, keep account credentials secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorized access. You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, violate another person's rights, upload unlawful or harmful material, or use Pressrun in violation of applicable law.

You keep ownership of your stories and the other materials you provide. You grant Pressrun a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and adapt those materials as needed to provide the service and complete your project.

You also grant Pressrun this license to operate, develop, and improve Pressrun's products and services, including AI models, features, and services Pressrun offers now or in the future, and we may keep using what we develop after your project ends. You grant this license by accepting these terms, for example when you create your account; if you accepted an earlier version, we will not use your materials to train AI models until you accept this version when we ask you to. We do not sell your manuscripts, drafts, transcripts, or project materials, and we do not publish your private stories without your permission. Information from your Google account, and anything derived from it, is never used to train AI models.

You represent that you have the rights needed to provide those materials and authorize that use.

When you give us your mobile number to sign up or sign in, you agree that Pressrun may call you, including with its AI interviewer, and text you at that number about your account and your book: verification codes, scheduling, reminders, and updates, until you tell us to stop. Texts may arrive by SMS, RCS, or iMessage depending on your device. Message frequency varies and is typically fewer than 5 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply.

Calls with Pressrun's AI interviewer are recorded and transcribed so we can write the book, and the interviewer says so at the start of every call. If you don't want a call recorded, say so and the call ends; nothing from it is used in the book.

If you give us someone else's number, for example to set up story calls for a parent, you confirm that they know about the book and are happy for Pressrun's AI interviewer to call and text them at that number. Please tell them to expect our call.

Reply STOP on any channel to opt out, and we stop texting and calling that number. Reply START to opt in again, or HELP for help. You may also contact us through our support page. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The full program, including sample messages, is described on our text messaging page.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Pressrun. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, Pressrun will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from use of the service.

We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these terms or where needed to protect Pressrun, its users, or others. We may update these terms and will post the revised date here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
